Wolford Mountain Reservoir is a man-made lake located in Grand County, Colorado. The reservoir was created in 1996 by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation for irrigation and municipal water supply purposes. It has a surface area of 1,550 acres and a maximum depth of 130 feet. The reservoir is situated at an elevation of 7,800 feet and is surrounded by scenic mountain views. It is a popular destination for fishing, boating, and camping. The lake is stocked with rainbow and brown trout, kokanee salmon, and northern pike, making it a popular spot for anglers. The reservoir is also home to various wildlife species such as bald eagles, ospreys, and mule deer. Visitors can enjoy hiking and birdwatching in the surrounding areas. Wolford Mountain Reservoir has two campgrounds, one on the north shore and one on the south shore, with a total of 88 campsites. The shown building in Bruges is the famous Hotel Duc de Bourgogne in a channel (waterway, canal) named Kraanrei.
